Respite Care

Need a Time Out?

Respite, or relief, care is short-term care offered to the regular caregiver meant to provide a temporary break when situations reach a level where the parenting adult and child cannot stay in the same home due to youth behaviors or caregiver need for timeout. YSCC provides a safe, caring place where youth can calm down and learn skills so that when the youth returns home, the family can go forward with a plan for change. Youth receive up to 72 hours of respite care in our shelter.  Respite care is ideal when outpatient care is not enough and hospitalization is not necessary.  Referrals can be made by the caregiver by calling 918-227-2622.
